How many charms fit inside?

6 is the sweet spot — and you can fit up to 8.

It really depends on the charms' sizes, as each one is a little different. With 3 large charms it gets harder to add more; with only small ones you can easily fit up to 10; or mix it up — for example 1 large + 2 medium + 3–4 small.

Is the chain included?

Yes. Every locket comes with a 45 cm (18") chain included. If you'd like, you can add the longer 60 cm (24") chain as an option — so you'll own two chains in two different lengths.

Note: the silver model comes with the short chain only (no longer option).

Are there silver charms?

Not yet — all charms currently have a gold finish. That said, the letters have a more silvery look, as do the Dove, the Dragonfly, and the Butterfly.

What is it made of?

The chain is stainless steel (non-tarnish), 45 cm (18"), included with every locket. The locket itself has a premium brass + zircon base with an 18K gold finish, and a transparent, scratch-resistant glass face.

What are the sizes of the different lockets?

Here are the sizes of each locket face:
Emerald (rectangle): 21 × 16 mm (0.82 × 0.63") — the largest
Teardrop: 20 × 15 mm (0.78 × 0.59")
Heart: 18 × 18 mm (0.7 × 0.7")
Round: 18 mm (0.7")

How many charms fit inside?

Each locket comfortably holds up to 8 charms, depending on their size. Smaller charms like birthstones and letters fit more easily than larger ones like the Boy, Girl, or Mama. We recommend starting with 3 to 5 charms for a balanced, beautiful look — which is exactly what 87% of our customers do. You can always add more later.

Can I put something physical inside — like hair or pet fur?

Yes — and many of our customers do. The locket opens completely, so you can place a tiny lock of hair, a pinch of pet fur, a small feather, or any other flat keepsake inside alongside your charms. Just make sure it's small enough not to prevent the locket from closing. This is one of the most meaningful ways our customers use their locket.

Can I change the charms after I receive my locket?

Absolutely. The locket opens and closes easily — that's the whole point. You can swap your charms anytime to match your mood, your outfit, or a new chapter of your story. Many customers collect charms over time and change them for seasons, occasions, or anniversaries. New charms are available individually in our Secret Vault.

What materials is the locket made of?

The chain is stainless steel (non-tarnish), 45 cm (18"), and is included with every locket. The locket itself is made from a premium brass + zircon base with an 18K gold finish, and the glass face is transparent and scratch-resistant. The whole piece is designed to be worn every day — it's water-resistant, rust-proof, and tarnish-free.

Will it tarnish or turn my skin green?

No. The 18K gold finish is applied over a high-quality brass + zircon base, which means it won't tarnish, rust, or cause skin discoloration with normal wear. The chain is stainless steel, so it won't tarnish or turn black either. To keep it looking its best, avoid prolonged exposure to perfume, chlorine, or saltwater. A soft cloth is all you need to clean it.
